We're going strong through a lot of events this month! Stay excited in the second half!

SECS Meeting This Wednesday 6:30-7:30!

At the Channing Murray Foundation, 1209 W Oregon Street. Come learn about what SECS does and how you can get involved!

Here’s what we’re up to this week:

  • Action: Working on a sustainability gen-ed requirement.

  • CFE: Planning the sock monkey event and planning to gather materials.

  • Education: Working on the teach in for Epsilon Eta Epsilon aka trEEE.

  • Garden: Weeding, watering, and brainstorming our off season projects.

  • Green Observer: Discussing the draft edits. Final drafts due the 20th!

  • Media: Planning the next project: scrap-booking. Bring in any can tabs you have to finish our button project.

  • Policy: Reviewing and unwinding from our IEC day in the capital.

Community Building: Mafia

Before our meetings, from 6:00-6:30, come to the Channing Murray for some community building. We’re playing mafia, so get to the CMF quick!

Paper Drive

Bring any extra paper you have to our next meeting to donate for local art projects! There will be a collection box, lets fill it up!

Throughout TORIIS, you can explore in depth the University of Illinois Systems’ investments, understand the scope and impact of its investments in the fossil fuel industry, and take action by signing the open letter requesting fossil fuel divestment from the University of Illinois.
