Next SECS Meeting This Wednesday at 6:30! 🌱
Happy Monday! We missed all of you last week, but we’re back. Thank you to everyone who came out to help with pumpkin composting; it was a smashing success! We composted around 200 pumpkins, or the rough equivalent of 246.5 pounds of methane, or 136 trash bags of waste recycled instead of landfilled.
This week we’ll be having a letter writing event during our general meeting to drum up support for the University of Illinois System Fossil Free Addendum. There will be food available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so arrive early! We encourage everyone to bring their own paper and pens.
This meeting will be Wednesday, November 8th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Channing Murray Foundation (1209 W. Oregon Street).
Show up on Wednesday! Go green or go HOME!
