Happy Earth Week!
Next SECS Meeting This Wednesday at 6:30! 🌱
Thanks to everyone who came out last Friday to support our collective right to protest. As we are now firmly in the middle of Earth Week, be sure to swing by SECS this week to support a sustainable planet! Here’s what our wonderful working groups are up to this week:
Fossil Free Addendum will continue reaching out about a subject matter hearing in the Illinois House of Representatives.
Action will be reflecting on past actions and taking a well-deserved break!
Media will be chalking sidewalks for Earth Day!
Education will be working on an upcoming IGNITE teach-in.
Circular Fashion Expo will wrap up their speech.
Solidarity Gardens will be planting and finishing sign painting.
Join us this Wednesday, April 23rd at 6:30 p.m. at the Channing Murray Foundation (1209 W. Oregon Street) for our next meeting.
🚨WAIT, THERE’S MORE!🚨
CFE Clothes Collection Begins!
If you have clothes you’re desperately looking to be free of during spring cleaning, look no further! The Circular Fashion Expo is collecting clothing for the clothing swap on May 3rd during the expo. You can bring these clothes to collection boxes at the PAR front lobby, the Channing Murray Foundation, and the ISR front lobby from today until Thursday, May 1st. This is a great way to keep fashion circular and turn your trash into someone else’s new treasure!
Fossil Free Friday!
This Friday, from 2-3pm at the Channing Murray Foundation, come to Fossil Free Friday to advance the divestment movement.
Come to Book Club!

Book Club will be meeting this Thursday from 6:30-7:30p.m. in the Women’s Resource Center and reading the short story ‘Sunshine State’ by Adam Flynn and Andrew Dana Hudson!
Show up on Wednesday! Go green or go HOME!
